About SpaceIndustry.pl
SpaceIndustry.pl brings Poland's space industry together in one place: the companies building it, the jobs they are hiring for, and the news about them. This is a fan project brought to you by Wojciech Szywalski ↗.
Poland's space sector is growing fast
Satellite makers, propulsion start-ups, Earth-observation teams and ground-segment specialists are spread across dozens of websites. We gather them into a single catalogue of companies and open roles, so engineers, graduates and people moving in from adjacent fields can find out who does what and who is hiring.
Beyond jobs and companies, we follow how the world reports on Polish space in News, and list the conferences, meetups and launches worth attending in Events. And because we think fun is underrated, Games lets you land on the Moon or defend an orbit between applications :-)
Every vacancy links straight to the employer's own site, and companies can claim their profile to keep their details and openings up to date themselves.
The site is free to use, and I am encouraging Space companies to use it as your point of contact with fellow fans and future employees.
How it started
In 2017, a couple of educator friends and I took 16 kids to Mars.

Seriously. We turned a bus into a rocket and headed to an abandoned sand mine in Silesia, southern Poland, with one goal: to give the kids a fun experience and let them discover the world of space.
And so we landed.
The view was amazing. The kids were astonished.

We learned kids to communicate over walkie-talkies, completing simple missions with nothing but a one-way radio connection. One team had to draw a shape on sand based on instructions from teammates far away. Talk. Listen. Act.

We built a scale model of the Solar System in the sand, felt centrifugal and G-forces, searched for alien life, built a small RC rover to explore remote parts of our planet, and hunted for treasure.

And, of course, we made a fire. Even on Mars, a reliable heat source matters.

Among us were biologists who are also incredible educators. I love their passion for what they do and the way they turn curiosity into something children can experience for themselves. They went on to create Motylarnia, a wonderful place where children can learn about the natural world.
I believe there can be no better future without nurturing curiosity, passion, and respect for life in the youngest generations. All life, even the strangest forms we can imagine. Including the possibility of some weird alien life out there.
That Mars adventure brought together people from different backgrounds: biologists, a physiotherapist, an engineer, and others who simply wanted to make something meaningful happen. Together, we created something that has stayed with me ever since.
That experience made me realise that the space industry matters to life on Earth much more than I had previously thought.
Then life got in the way.
In 2021, I bought the domain spaceindustry.pl. I was convinced the industry would grow fast, and I wanted to be part of it. But I couldn't find the time to turn the idea into a proper platform. The project went on hold, though it never really left my mind.
Now, with the help of AI tools, I'm building again. I'm putting my old skills to work in new ways and creating something I want to use myself.
SpaceIndustry is an independent, fan-built project for people who care about space: whether you're a company looking for talent, an engineer looking for your next opportunity, or simply a space enthusiast.
I hope you find it useful. And I hope you'll enjoy using it as much as I enjoy building it.
