Mechanical / Propulsion Engineer

Liftero is looking for a Mechanical / Propulsion Engineer to shape its BOOSTER propulsion system, from early design and requirements to deployment in orbit.

About Liftero

Liftero builds propulsion systems for the fast-growing small-satellite market. Its core product, BOOSTER, is a non-toxic chemical propulsion system designed for the NewSpace era and already proven in orbit. The company's stated goal is to put 1,000 propulsion systems into space.

About the role

This role is central to the company. In space hardware every detail counts, so much of the work is building solid requirements, based on industry standards and Liftero's own experience, before the design itself. It is a demanding role with real responsibility and room to grow.

What you will do

• Write technical specifications and designs for thruster systems
• Run analyses, simulations and tests to verify thruster components
• Build test stands for subsystems and the full propulsion system, including thrust balance and TVAC stands
• Plan and oversee manufacturing and integration of thruster assemblies
• Run test and verification campaigns for thruster performance
• Analyse and report test results and check compliance with specifications and standards
• Assess technology development needs and help bring products to market

What you bring

• Hands-on experience planning and running laboratory tests
• CAD skills (SolidWorks, Onshape or similar)
• Strong analytical, problem-solving and decision-making skills
• Good communication and experience in cross-functional teams

Nice to have

• Space-industry experience, especially in propulsion
